Gramma Cubbie is Artie's Gramma. She loves all the planes at the airport. Besides baking the best cookies, she always has the time to talk about whatever is on your mind. It sure is good to have someone so nice to talk to! 

Grampa Cubbie is Artie's Grampa. He tells the best stories. Everyone loves to listen to them. Grampa does have one funny quirk. It seems like it is always snowing in Grampa's stories! 

Piper is Artie's cousin. She is younger than Artie and likes it when Artie teaches her things. Artie is older and knows a lot. 

Alice the Air Ambulance is a jet-powered airplane. She can fly very fast. Alice flies people who are very sick. She takes them to hospitals far away where they can get the care they need. A very special person called a flight nurse flies with her.

Wally the Widebody lives at the Big Town airport. He can carry a lot of passengers to places far away. Wally is called a heavy jet because he weighs more than 300,000 pounds. That is more than150 tons! Widebodies have two aisles inside of their cabins. 

Waldo W. Wing is a flashy race plane. A long time ago, Waldo was a fighter plane when propellers were still used on fighter planes. Now, he flies at special air races and airshows. 

Superslim is a narrow-bodied jet that lives at the Big Town airport and flies for Big Town Airlines just like Jack the Jumbo and Wally the Widebody. Superslim has only one aisle down the inside. That is why he is called a narrow-body.
